Christmas Caroling

Gathering to carol at Oakland Nursing and Rehabitation Center

Judy McCaughey, Judy Wilmot and Deirdre Kildow were just three of the dozen carolers from Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church who brought Christmas joy to the residents and staff of Dennett Road Manor and Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Oakland, MD.

Quoting the final carol sung at the nursing homes:
"We wish you a merry Christmas...we wish you a merry Christmas...We wish you a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year."

Christmas Eve Service at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church

Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church will hold its Christmas Eve worship service on Sunday, December 24, 5 PM in the Sitzmark Room of Will O' the Wisp, with the Rev. Claude L. Villemaire officiating.

Designed as a worship opportunity for the community, the candle-light communion service will include many Christmas hymns, Praise Ensemble participation and pre-service music at 4:45 by Ruth Seib, recorder, Judy McCaughey and Marcene Huebner, piano.

Will O' the Wisp is located at 20160 Garrett Highway on US 219 ½ mile north of the traffic light at Glendale Road. The Sitzmark Room is located on the lower level. Handicap entrance access is by car at the rear of the building; enter at the patio doors.

Weekly services are held at Garrett Eight Cinemas, Sundays at 9:30AM. Tourists, newcomers and those seeking a church home are always welcome to attend.

Shepherd of the Hills is the first mission congregation of the West Virginia-Western Maryland Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) since the merger of the ELCA in 1987. Thanksgiving Eve-Eve Service

Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church will hold its Thanksgiving-Eve Eve worship service on Tuesday evening, November 21, 7PM in the Sitzmark Room of Will O' the Wisp, the Rev. Claude Villemaire officiating.

Designed as a worship opportunity for the community, the service will include favorite Thanksgiving hymns and songs, Thanksgiving litanies, prayers, message and special music.

Shepherd of the Hills holds its regular weekly services at the Garrett 8 Cinemas at 9:30 AM Sundays. Refreshments and sermon discussion follow the worship service. All are cordially invited to attend.
